07 - VBOX Sport Performance Test iOS application

Download VBOX Performance Test app

The VBOX PT app is available for free download from the iTunesTM store. To find the app, search for ‘VBOX Sport’, ‘Racelogic’ or ‘VBOX PT’.

Setup

Within this section, different vehicle details can be added, the desired test mode can be selected and individual tests customised.

Adding a vehicle

Select an added test vehicle. To add details of a new vehicle, use the ‘add vehicle’ button in the top left hand corner of the app. This will allow you to enter vehicle details such as make, model and year. Selecting the ‘edit’ option from the top right hand corner allows vehicles to be cleared from the list.

Select test mode

Select between Acceleration, Brake and Zero to Zero tests. Ticking the desired test will change the test display.
Note that only one test mode can be run at any time.

User defined tests

This section is used to set define test ranges.  Only one range can be set for Zero to Zero tests, but there is no limit on the number of Acceleration or Brake tests.
Note that distance acceleration tests will calculate Mile, ½, ¼ and 1/8th Mile results automatically.

Configuration

This screen is always accessible via the lower menu panel.
The application version number is listed at the top of this screen.

Test modes

This screen shows a live speed readout and allows the user to activate a test session and capture results.

Acceleration test

By default, the user must hit ‘start’ to begin a test. When the test is finished, the results will automatically be brought into view. After viewing, the user must hit ‘reset’ and then ‘start’ before starting the next test.
Acceleration tests end when the VBOX Sport detects deceleration.

Note: With ‘auto reset’ turned on within the configuration section, tests will automatically restart after the first start condition of the defined test(s) is met.

 

Brake test


By default, the user must hit ‘start’ to begin a test. When the test is finished, the results will automatically be brought into view. After viewing, the user must hit ‘reset’ and then ‘start’ before starting the next test.
Brake tests end when the VBOX Sport detects a speed value of zero.

Zero to zero test


By default, the user must hit ‘start’ to begin a test. When the test is finished, the results will automatically be brought into view. After viewing, the user must hit ‘reset’ and then ‘start’ before starting the next test.
Zero to zero tests end when the VBOX Sport detects a speed value of zero.

Test details

Within the live test mode, there is a ‘details’ button for quick access to the last test results.

Results

The results for all completed tests are stored within the PT application. To view any previous results, select the desired test through the main results menu option.

Within each section, result graphs and details of individual test runs can be viewed.

Filtering & deleting results

If lots of test results are stored, the user may wish to filter what is displayed. Press the filter option in the top left hand corner to select tests from any particular vehicle.

To delete test runs, select the edit option within the results list for any test mode.  Test runs can then be selected and cleared.
