Firmware Updates

This page provides everything you need to update the firmware on your OLED Display (RLVBDSP07) and understand what has changed between versions.

It includes:

  • Firmware update instructions to guide you through the update process.
  • Release notes outlining new features, improvements and bug fixes for each version.

Firmware updates may introduce new features, improve performance, or resolve known issues. We recommend keeping your device up to date to ensure the best performance and compatibility.

The firmware update process is done via the connected VBOX Video HD2 unit.

Equipment List #

  1. An SD card (FAT32 formatted)
  2. A computer to download and copy the firmware file
  3. VBOX Video HD2 unit
  4. VBOX Video HD2 power cable
  5. Suitable power supply
  6. DSP07 OLED Display

#

  1. Download the OLED Display (DSP07-L) Firmware upgrade file and unzip it.

    (Your unit must be registered to receive the required login details for the download. You can register it here.)

  2. Place the OLED Display upgrade file in the root directory of an SD card (not in the media or any other folder).
  3. Insert the SD card into the HD2 unit.
  4. Connect the OLED Display flying lead to the HD2.
  5. Press and hold the Up button (highlighted button in the image below) on the OLED Display while you connect the power cable to the Video HD2 unit to apply power.
  6. Wait for the bootloader screen to display a progress bar for the file transfer and installation of the new firmware.
  7. When the process is complete, the OLED Display will restart by itself.

  • New mode management.
  • Reinstated loading and saving reference lap files.
  • You can now load a reference lap file with any name, provided the file has .ref or .REF as the suffix.
  • Reintroduced the shortcut to clear lap timing data.
  • Reintroduced saving and loading sectors and start/finish line files via HD2.
  • Greyed out Min Speed and Stop Logging Delay options when logging mode is set to Continuous.
  • Improved track layout detection at the Nürburgring.
  • Fixed an issue where Max Lateral and Longitudinal G values could extend off the screen.
